Shenandoah National Park includes a 101-mile portion of the Appalachian Trail, the 2,181-mile popular hiking trail that starts in Georgia and goes to Maine. This is the perfect place to take in all the fall foliage.
Massanutten Resort, a breathtaking property, and popular ski resort in the winter, turns into a haven for mountain biking, hiking, and outdoor adventure in the Spring/Summer/Fall with 6,000 acres of mountain fun. For indoor fun, there's an awesome indoor water park, virtual reality arcades, and escape rooms available.

There are three trails in the Shenandoah Valley: The Shenandoah Spirits Trail, Shenandoah Beerwerks Trail, and the Blue Ridge Whisky-Wine Loop. All of these take advantage of remarkable views, vibrant cities, and scenic drives in between stops.

This outdoor museum of 11 fully working farms is separated into two areas: the Old World and America, showing rural life and culture in four homelands of early migrants to the American colonies and the life these colonists and their descendants created in the colonial back-country.
